Dear Fellow Chamber members,

We would like to make a couple announcements.

The next Quarterly Breakfast meeting Tuesday, September 15 will now be a Zoom quarterly breakfast!  The Feature speaker is Cheryl Cassleman from Purdue Extension.  Cheryl will be discussing social media/digital marketing.   Brandy will be sending all Chamber members a link that you may rsvp to by clicking on the link.  By doing this you may join live at 8am OR watch the recording at your convince.  We look forward to having you join us on September the 15th.

As many of you know by now, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Holiday Market and Expo.  We look forward to having a wonderful program and seeing everyone in 2021.

Dear fellow Chamber members,

We hope your summer is going well.  We are very excited and looking forward to seeing all of you at our 2nd annual ice cream social.  The social is on Tuesday, August 4th from 11am-2pm on the east side of the court house lawn.  The cost will be $2.00 for two scoops of ice cream and free toppings.  We will have 2 separate ice cream stations to better serve you.

Dear fellow Chamber members,

We are pleased to announce we will be having our 2nd annual Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, August 4 from 11am-2pm on the East side of the Court house lawn.  This year we will have 2 ice cream serving stations to serve you better. You may go through either line.  Ice cream will be $2.00 for 2 scoops plus free toppings. We can’t wait to see you at our 2nd Annual Ice Cream Social!  Even though the Sullivan county 4H fair isn’t open to the public this year, we want to wish all Sullivan County 4-H’ers the very best. We hope you are enjoying your summer and the very many different amenities that our city and county have to offer.

Dear fellow Chamber Members,

We here at the Chamber office are happy to announce that we have tentatively scheduled our 2nd Annual Ice Cream Social for Tuesday, August 4 from 11am-2pm on the east side of the Court house lawn.  Last year was a big success and we look forward to seeing you all again.  More details will be coming up in the July Newsletter. We want to make sure that everyone knows that our Executive Director, Brandy Wolfe is back in the office by appointment only at this time.  Please call ahead of time if you need an appointment.

Dear fellow Chamber members,

This has been a very trying time for all of us. We are excited that many of our businesses will start to open up this week with restrictions.  We know this has been very hard on our businesses over the last 6 weeks.  We are now starting reopen our economy here in Sullivan County. As all of you know we are in Phase 2 of Governor Holcomb’s Back on Track plan with Phase 3 beginning on May 24.  There are restrictions that we all must follow and by adhering to them we can get our economy going in the right direction. We encourage you to continue to practice social distancing and good hand hygiene. Remember the Corona virus is not over and we each need to continue to do our part.  We here at the Chamber are continuing to be open as our Executive Director continues to operate the chamber remotely.  You may contact the chamber office anytime Monday-Friday at 812-905-0131 or office@sullivancountychamber.com.

Dear fellow Chamber members,

Spring will soon be here and the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce has several activities lined up for you to enjoy in the month of March.  Before we get to those, we would like to say thank you to those that attended our Quarterly Breakfast on Feb. 4 with Dr. Brain Toevs.  Please make plans to attend our next 5:05 at Wellness First Sullivan on Thursday, March 5. Please notify our office if you plan to attend.  We will also be having a ribbon cutting on Friday, March 6, at Joe’s Italian foods to celebrate 20 years in Sullivan!  All are welcome and encouraged to come help Joe and Nora celebrate this milestone.  We will be exhibiting at the 2020 Sullivan Co. Ag Day on Saturday, March 14 beginning at 6:30 am.  Please stop by our booth and sign up for a chance to win a chamber gift certificate.  We would like to give you a heads up on the next Quarterly Breakfast that will actually be a LUNCHEON this time on Thursday, April 23, 2020, from 11:30-12:30 at SCCH Financial Center featuring Professor Adam Smith from Indiana University.  The topic will be generational differences in the workforce and employee motivation.
