Dear Fellow Chamber members,

Happy Easter to all of you from all of us at the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce.  We hope you enjoy your Easter season.

​

We want to Thank all of you that attended our annual banquet on March 12th.  Our thanks to Mayor JD Wilson for being our featured speaker.  A big thank you to Joe’s Italian food and Alyssa’s custom cakes for proving food and dessert.

​

We hope you are making plans to enjoy the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th. There are several view opportunities in the County.  One place is the Sullivan Civic Center lawn where there is a free block party with games, music and activities planned.  Food trucks and Meier winery will also be there. 

​

Our next coffee chat will be Thursday, May 23rd at 8am.  Location will be at Kat a Korner. Our featured speaker will be Jenny from IU school of Social Work!

Dear Fellow Chamber members,

We would like to remind all of you to purchase your tickets for this years Chamber banquet on March the 12th.  Tickets are available at the Sullivan County Chamber office 25 S. Main St. Sullivan or online at ticket.  Tickets are once again $25.00 and this includes dinner and the entire show.  Our featured speaker this year is our new Mayor here in Sullivan, JD Wilson.  Mayor Wilson will be giving you an update on the City of Sullivan. Our meal will be catered by Joe’s Italian foods and desserts from Alyssa’s Custom Cakes and Treats.

Dear Fellow Chamber members,

The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Michele Smith for being such a wonderful guest at our latest coffee chat in Jan. Her program was talking about the Salvation Army and it was extremely informative. Michele is truly one resident of Sullivan who takes time to care.

​

We would like to remind everyone once again that the annual banquet is Tuesday, March 12th if you have not purchased your tickets, please do so by contacting the Chamber of Commerce.  Once again tickets re $25.00 and our featured speaker will be our new Mayor J.D. Happy Holidays from all of us at the Sullivan County Chamber.  As you are shopping during this holiday season, we highly recommend that you shop with our local merchants.  A great gift idea is a gift certificate from the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce good at over 40 participating businesses.

We want to thank all of you who attended or were of our many vendors at our Holiday Market and Expo.  We had a record attendance for our event with 869 people.  Also, we would like to say a big thank you to everyone that donated canned goods to our community food pantry.  Your generosity is very much appreciated.  Congratulations to Tina Fulk.  She was the winner of our $100.00 gift certificate.

We would like to remind all of you to please make plans to attend our 2023 Holiday market and expo.   It will be this month, Nov. 18th at the Sullivan Civic Cener form 9-1pm.  We will have over 40+ vendors once again at our event along with Santa Claus the first 100 children will receive a free t-shirt that they can color.  All kids are able to do a craft with Hoosier Energy. The admission is free and if you bring a canned good item, you will be registered to win a $100.00 gift certificate.

All of us here at the Chamber proudly support all Veteren’s here in Sullivan County and wish them and their families a happy Veterans Day.

All of us here at the Sullivan County Chamber of commerce hope you have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day Weekend.

The Sullivan County chamber of commerce would like to thank everyone that came to our last coffee chat at Kat a Korner and to our guest speakers from First Financial Bank.  They presented an eye-opening topic in regards to the latest business fraud.   

​

We would like to remind everyone of the office being closed the week of September 11th and will reopen again on Monday, Sept. 18th.  Just in time for the annual Rotary Corn Festival!  We hope everyone is able to get out and enjoy the 4-day event!

​

Our junior Chamber members the Sullivan County CEO program is having a breakfast social on Sept. 19th from 7:30-8:30 at the hospital financial center.  Everyone is invited to attend and see what this program is all about!

All of us here at the Sullivan County Chamber of commerce hope you enjoyed your 4th of July Holiday Weekend.  Thank you to the Sullivan County Park and Lake for hosting a wonderful 4th of July weekend.

We want to thank all of you who came out to the Ice Cream Social.  It was so great to see you all.  It was another big success.  All money raised was donated to the tornado relief efforts.  We appreciate your supporting us with helping with this cause.

We hope you are making plans to be at the Sullivan Co 4H fair.  Remember the fair this year is July 15-22nd. Remember to enjoy the wonderful amenities in the City of Sullivan this summer. Including the wonderful City pool.

Welcome to spring time!  The Sullivan County Chamber of commerce invites you to our spring time coffee chat on Tue May 9th.  We will have our friends from Ohio Valley Gas and Stephen Clark from the SBA talking about tornado disaster recovery. This will be held at the Kat a Korner.  It starts and 8am and all members are welcome and encouraged to come.

We are very excited to announce our Ice Cream social will be held on Friday June 30th from 11am-2pm at the Baesler’s parking lot.  All proceeds raised at this event will be donated to the Tornado recovery relief. So please make plans to come and enjoy some great ice cream and help in our tornado recovery.

The Holiday Market and Expo was a huge success.  We had record attendance, record number of exhibitors and record number of children came to see Santa Claus!  We want to thank all of you who donated canned goods to our program.  We had a record number of canned goods that we donated to the Sullivan County Community Kitchen. We thank you all very much for making this the most successful event to date!  Thank you to the CEO jr. chamber members for all of your help!  We are making plans for the 2023 Holiday Market and Expo!

Thank you to everyone that came to the Quarterly Coffee Chat and a special thank you to Alyssa’s Custom Cake and Treats for hosting.

Congratulations to our Mayor, Clint Lamb, Sullivan City Park Board and all who were involved in the dedication ceremony for the brand-new Sullivan City Pool. The new city pool is absolutely beautiful.  If you have not had a chance to take your family there, please do so by Labor Day weekend.  

​

The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce is proud to be a sponsor of the Sullivan County CEO program.  The Chamber sponsors the CEO students as junior chamber members.  This opportunity will give the students an opportunity to see what a chamber of commerce is, what the benefits to being a chamber member along with networking options.  The CEO students will be at one or 2 events that the Chamber hosts and are welcome at all quarterly coffee Chats.  If you see them, please give them a welcome.  We are excited to offer this opportunity to these young entrepreneurs.

We at the Chamber office hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We would like to thank all of our sponsors, vendors and our wonderful Community for a very successful Holiday Market and Expo!  Our 7th annual market and expo was the biggest one to date for vendors and attendance!  A wonderful time was had by all.

The Chamber of Commerce is working on collecting items for the 2022 first baby of the year to be born at Sullivan Hospital!  If you or your business would like to donate an item, please contact the Chamber office at 812-905-0131.

Save the date for January 18th.  That is the date for our annual banquet.  This banquet will honor last 2020 award recipients and 2021 award recipients.
